For the longest time I couldn't settle on a design for the top of his head D; I went through a few of them..but they all look too flashy, and I didn't want to make it too flashy because then it would upstage my other Zaku's and not fit in ;.;

So I settled for a simplistic "One Horned Devil" design :P

i hate to say it but with one of the main hoses from the reactor severed, not only would be be unable to use his backpack or power much of the upper torso, but would probably be a fireball. i know thats waaaay to technical and nerdy an observation...lol so let me say this too. excellent painting and detailing and creativity. i love what you did with the paint and the battle damage on that other zakus shield in the main pic. that Guntank is about to have a bad day ;)

Wow. This is pretty friggin' awesome.
I must ask: Is this 1/144 or 1/100?
I work mostly with 1/144, but I know a lot of people prefer 1/100 for its detail.
Anyways, awesome work.

Well, if there's a hobbytown near you you can probably get one there.

You can get a Zaku there pretty cheap, only 40$ plus 12$ flat rate shipping, so it's probably better if you buy more than one, since the shipping is always the same no matter how many things you order :P

It's a shame the yen went up against the dollar though, now all Gundams are even more expensive D; the Zaku 2.0 used to be pretty cheap, only like...34 dollars?

And I use Citadel Paint, the stuff people use on Warhammer 40k mini's :3

Ah, I live in Connecticut, and I live right near a hobbyshop called TimeMachine, which is the largest one in New England. Once they restock their Gundams, they're roughly 25-30 for 1/144 and somewhere between 45 and 60 for 1/100. I just bought a 1/144 Tieren Space Type for $20 with $5 coupon.

See, I have to work with a Freshman's salary, A.K.A. whenever I can find random jobs for my family or neighbors. I don't make much.

Yeah, I know what you mean. MGs are mad expensive now, but if I could I would totally get MGs.

The one thing I believe HGs have over MGs is variety and price.
Ex.: Whereas the MG Zaku II is 40, the HG is 11.86.
Yes, MGs have much better quality and detail, but HGs have more models, such as Tieren and the suits from SEED. The HGs have models from most of the series, whereas the MGs have mostly models from Universal Century.

Anyways, yeah, I want to get some Citadel paints because lots of people I talked to recommended them.

Also, yes, Hobbywave is extremely helpful when buying because of their diverse stock and (moderately) low prices. Buying 4 HG Zaku IIs would only cost 59.44, the cost of 1 MG.

P.S.: My mom is Chinese, so she doesn't like me spending a lot of money, even when I rightly earned it.

Why yes, that was indeed a stereotypical joke. I can make fun of Chinese people because I roughly 20% Chinese.

BTW, your work is amazing.

Oooh lucky D; my hobbytown overcharges on all their stuff except for the Zaku MG, and that's only cause one time I pointed out how overpriced it was and the manager wanted to save face in front of a customer xD

And I used to have a bunch of HG's too, but after buying my Zaku 2.0 I just couldn't bring myself to buy anymore, everytime I try I think to myself "If I save up the money instead of spending it..I could get a shiny master grade >: D..", once you get a MG, you can't go back Dx

And thanks ;w; I don't think my stuffs that great save for like 4 pictures, but as they say, a person is oneselfs best critic D:

As I said, I believe your work is excellent.
Yeah, I prefer the lower prices and variety of HGs.
Anyways, My favorite MS of all time, the Zaku I Sniper Type, only comes in 1/144.

In conclusion, The only reason I really don't do MGs is price and the fact that not all of my favorite MSs come in MG.
